Researching autecology microalgae algae sample were collected from for period four months (October 2021 January 2022) analyzed physiochemical parameters species diversity using standard procedures. Water samples 1 litre transparent bottle while by scrapping plants bank preserved with drop mixture formaldehyde lugol iodine. pH ranged between (4.1 5.8), conductivity (15 153), alkalinity (5.0 Nitrate (0.5 0.80Mg/L), phosphate (5.01 7.8Mg/L) dissolve oxygen (6.27 9.22mg/l) determined. Five divisions comprising 92 taxa identified during study. division, Bacillariophyta was most represented division accounting 80% occurrence total 72 species, followed Chlorophyta 10%, Euglenophyta (7%), Cyanophyta (2%) which accounted 9, 6 2 respectively. Dinophyta least (1%) contributed only one taxon. month November has highest number 54 December (31 taxa). dominated diatoms (Bacillariophyta) are good pollution bio-indicators. indicates higher nutrient enrichment could have been due runoff agricultural land or waste discharge. Therefore, documented be usedful pollutant indicator assessing status rivers.
